red | Our identity

RED is not a political statement, it is a statement of FAITH.

RED is short for REDEMPTION.

REDEMPTION: The action of saving or being saved from sin, error, or evil.

Every person has made mistakes. We have all messed up and fallen short of perfection at some time in our lives. As followers of Jesus, we believe God has REDEEMED us and our past no longer dictates our future.

WE believe JESUS CHANGES EVERYTHING.

values | what drives us

LOVE GOD: You do what you really believe, so know what you believe.

John 14:21 "Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them."

LOVE PEOPLE: Loved people, love people.

Matthew 22:39 "Love your neighbor as yourself."

PURSUE EXCELLENCE: Excellence strengthens your message.

Titus 2:7 "Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and...show integrity, dignity..."

CHOOSE JOY: Focus on Jesus, not on circumstances.

2 Corinthians 4:18 "As we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal."

Matthew 6:33 "But above all pursue his kingdom and righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

NEVER STOP GROWING: Growing people change.

John 15:5 "I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing."

BE GENEROUS: Jesus gave, so we could give.

Proverbs 11:25 “The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself."

STAND FOR UNITY: We have one identity in Jesus.

Galatians 3:28 "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus."

OUR MISSION IS BASED ON TWO TEACHINGS OF JESUS:

Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

MATTHEW 22:36-40 NIV

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe…” Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.

MARK 16:15-17, 20 NIV

strategy | how we do ministry

D:  DESIGN SERVICES (IN PERSON AND ONLINE) THAT LOST PEOPLE LOVE.

We value the mission over the method.

“Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law…so as to win those not having the law. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some.” (1 Corinthians 9:19–22, NIV)

R:  REACH HURTING PEOPLE.

We value the needs of the broken over the preferences of the healed!

“For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.” (Luke 19:10, NLT)

“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” (Matthew 4:19, NIV)

“When Jesus heard this, he told them, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.” (Mark 2:17, NLT)

E:  ENGAGE PEOPLE IN SPIRITUAL GROWTH THROUGH GROWTH TRACK AND SMALL GROUPS.

We believe that spiritual growth is measured by love.

“God wants us to grow up…like Christ in everything.” (Ephesians 4:15, The Message)

“This is the kind of life you’ve been invited into, the kind of life Christ lived. He suffered everything that came his way so you would know that it could be done, and also know how to do it, step-by-step.” (1 Peter 2:21, The Message)

“And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their Christian brothers and sisters.” (1 John 4:21, NLT)

“…they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple complex, and broke bread from house to house….” (Acts 2:46, HCSB)

A:  ACTIVATE THEM IN MEANINGFUL MINISTRY AND EMPOWERED LEADERSHIP.

We believe that the real mark of maturity is serving.

"For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Matthew 20:28, NLT)

“Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:11–12, NLT)

“You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.” (2 Timothy 2:2, NLT)

M:  MOBILIZE THEM TO IMPACT THEIR CITY, NATION, AND WORLD!

We believe that the Great Commission applies to every Christian.

“Just as you sent me into the world, I am sending them into the world.” (John 17:18, NLT)

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8, NLT)

“I don’t care about my own life. The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me—to tell people the Good News about God’s grace.” (Acts 20:24, NCV)
